ollege of Electrical and Computer Engineering was established in August 2004 to train electrical, electronics, information, optoelectronics, communications and other high-tech talents for achieving teaching and research purposes. In recent years, following the growth of the electronics and information industry makes the demand of relevant talents to become more eager. College will join government policies to combine with the national industry technology and the Central Taiwan Science Park, and plan to train industrial demanded talents. The goal of college is to combine with industry closely to apply industrial resources on teaching and provide technical services and developments on industry. College will also follow the social trends and industrial developments to train professional talents with basic theory, strengthen practical experience and industrial requirement, and promote industry-university cooperation. The college has four departments, four graduate institutes and one Ph. D. program currently, including: Department of Electrical Engineering, Graduate Institute of Electrical Engineering, Department of Electro-Optics Engineering, Graduate Institute of Electro-Optics Engineering, Department Computer Science and Information Engineering, Graduate Institute of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Department of Electronic Engineering, Graduate Institute of Electronic Engineering, and Ph. D. program in Graduate Institute of Electro-Optics and Materials Science.
