Self-description:

Jin-Tsong Jeng was born in Taiwan, R.O.C., in 1967. He received the B.S.E.E., M.S.E.E. and Ph. D. degrees all in Electrical Engineering from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1991, 1993, and 1997, respectively. In 2006-2009, he was a Professor and Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, (NFU), Huwei Jen, Taiwan, R.O.C. He is currently Dean of College of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Professor of Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Formosa University, Huwei Jen, Yunlin, Taiwan. His primary research interests include computational intelligence and statistical learning, neural networks, fuzzy systems, intelligent control, smart home, bioinformatics, non-holonomic control systems, physics and technology of semiconductor devices and microarray. At the same time, he has published more than 135 refereed journal and conference papers in the above areas. Achievements include development of a new neural network model which is CPBUM that applies to control systems, robotic systems and microarray, design of a new support vector regression networks to do modeling problem with outliers, hybrid approach for computational intelligence, and analysis of semiconductor devices
